The birth of the Virgin Mary marks the beginning of our redemption. Mary was born full of grace, for she was conceived without the stain of sin. “How would we have acted, had we been able to choose our own mother? I believe we would have chosen the one we have, endowing her with every grace. This is what Christ did: being omnipotent and being Love itself, His power brought about all that He willed. Theologians have often formulated a similar argument: it was fitting, God could do it, therefore He did it.” (Saint Josemaría Escrivá)
