We’re now in the third week of Lent. And you may ask yourself, has this season been any different from the one we experience in April, June, or September? Is it a time like any other?
The answer is, it’s not a time like any other; but we do experience it like any other time of the year.
All of this is a reflection of the loss of faith. Being indifferent to Jesus Christ and His Church; and this doesn’t necessarily mean being a delinquent or a criminal on the loose. No, it means you can live without God and nothing will happen. So Lent is just another time of the year.
Why has this phenomenon of losing faith or being indifferent to it been experienced?
Because of the boredom of life, the lack of good preaching, the lack of good priests and religious leaders, and the multitude of distractions that exist today. Therefore, people prefer to go for a walk and eat good hamburgers rather than go to church to pray and fast. We must rethink our relationship with Jesus Christ. Take some time for that, you who still have faith.
