The Ascension of the Lord!
With Jesus’ Ascension into heaven, He opens the doors for us to follow Him. The Ascension is for all Christians a reality of hope, because we know that Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us, and that one day we will be able to join Him and enjoy eternal happiness. We must strive to be perfect so we can go to heaven with Jesus.
The Ascension of Jesus into heaven is not a fairy tale or a science fiction story; it is a historical fact, grasped by many people. There were witnesses to that event, which today brings doubt to many and mockery and laughter to others. For us who have faith, we know that a heavenly reality awaits us, that Jesus conquered death, that is, that after our earthly life, there will be a full, true, and happy life. That is the promise. If you only live here and think that when you die, everything ends ten feet underground, and that all your efforts, struggles, and tears end in a coffin, Believe me, you live for nothing. The Ascension of the Lord tells us that there is eternal life with God, where we will never suffer again.
