The Easter Season is the 50-day period in the liturgical calendar that celebrates the RESURRECTION OF JESUS, extending from Easter Sunday to Pentecost Sunday.
Considered a GREAT FESTIVE SUNDAY, it is characterized by joy, the use of the color white, the presence of the Paschal Candle, and the singing of the Alleluia, marking the victory of life over death.
The Easter Season lasts 50 days, bridging the Resurrection with the coming of the Holy Spirit.
The culmination of the Easter Season is Pentecost Sunday, which will be celebrated this year on May 24th.
